Online/Email/Telephone Counseling/Coaching
"We Counsel-God Heals"

We at Counseling the Lord's Way Ministries have heard your voice and have opened our practice to Online (chat)/ Telephone and Email Counseling and Coaching.

The cost and time of commuting has become a real challenge for people seeking counseling.  Office hours are often during work hours causing clients to have to miss work or obtain day care for children.  Parking and city driving can be a problem.  Some people just prefer the privacy of their home, the ability to control when and how counseling proceeds, and prefer others not know they have to "go to counseling".  Besides we find very often many people express themselves better in writing and have the ability to think and plan what they want to say.  This often reduces the time required to accomplish counseling.

Both the client and the counselor must take into account when deciding to proceed with online or email counseling or coaching that there are several drawbacks to doing counseling that is not face to face. Some of these may have major impact on the counseling session, namely the inability of the counselor to hear the inflection, mood and tone of your voice and to view the body language that is so important in understanding what is going on.  These factors are also lost to the client and thus may reduce the trust factor that develops in face to face situations.

There may be times when we  insist that a face to face encounter is essential to resolving the problem at hand or dealing with certain information.

If email, telephone or online (chat) counseling would better serve your purposes the processes for obtaining these counseling services are outlined below.

Email services -   To obtain email counseling services from us, you can go to our server at www.eCounseling.com .  Just follow the instructions there and if you will indicate our local area code (31088) or state (Georgia) you can access my online counseling server.  Look for Dr. Wayne Coussens, Ph.D. Ph.D. Under Dr. Wayne's entry click on "View Full Profile" .   If we are online at the time, there will be a tab that says so.  If not you still can leave us a message and the server will text us so that we know we have a message from you.  We will respond to your email questions as soon as possible after it is sent to us.  Usually our answers will be in your mail box within a few hours, but at the very most within 8 hours if we are in the country and have online access.  Email counseling and coaching are provided at a minimum service charge which you pay online before you send your email.  If you cannot reach us this way email me directly at drwayne@counselingthelordsway.com

Online Chat services -  Chat services online are very similar to email services except that they occur when we are online and can respond immediately to your questions.  Just as with the email services above you can access us on line at www.eCounseling.com in your search for services put in the area code (31088) or state (Georgia) and look for Dr. Wayne Coussens, Ph.D. Ph.D.  Under Dr. Wayne's entry click on "View Full Profile". It will give you the opportunity to leave a message as to your available times.  When I receive the message, I will contact you back with a time we can meet online for our chat.  When that time comes you will log into the chat line as instructed and you we will be able to work on your problem.  Chat services are usually paid for by the hour and you will need to pay by credit card before the chat session begins.  Chat services are slightly cheaper than face to face sessions due to the decreased overhead involved and they are less costly for you in terms of time and travel expense.

Telephone Counseling/Coaching - Due to your increasing demand we have begun telephone counseling in addition to our online services.  This is a third choice that some clients prefer due to similar reasons as those for choosing online and email services.  It can be done anywhere, any time without even the computer.  The one advantage it has over chat and email is the ability for both the client and the counselor to respond to the vocal changes of the other, thus acquiring a better understanding of the conversation going on.  The disadvantage of telephone counseling over email counseling is finding the time when both the client and the counselor can get together for an extended period.  This requires some degree of scheduling and at least two separate phone calls.  For this reason we generally use our online service to set up telephone consultations.  You call the eCounseling center at 1-866-counsel or find us online as discussed in the email and chat sections above. You will be given instructions as to how to contact us and set up a telephone appointment.

Video Chat Services -  We do not yet have video chat services but we are working on adding them to our list of services.  They are available through our server at www.eCounseling.com but we are still in the process of setting that up.
It will be a great addition to our available services when it comes on line.  It will great to be able to see you as we talk. We are really looking forward to that.  Keep an eye out for it!

It is important to understand that we provide email and chat counseling with the same level of professionalism and attention to quality and care as we do with face to face counseling.  We feel blessed to be able to offer this service to you and to be one of a very small number of Pastoral Counselors who can do so.  If you have a problem obtaining these services, please call us at 478-719-3054 so that we can troubleshoot the problem and improve our services for you.  You can feel secure with counseling on www.eCounseling.com as it meets HIPPA regulations and is maximum secure so that your information is always kept confidential.

Hope to see you on line.
