Our Beliefs! Our beliefs at Counseling the Lord's Way agree fully with those stated in the Nicene and the Apostles Creeds. We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of the one living God, Creator of the Universe. The Bible is the final authority on all matters of life, faith and practice. We believe that the one God, exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious atoning death through His shred blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that one is saved through an act of God's grace by the work of the Holy Spirit who regenerates and converts the hearts of sinful men by His free gift of saving faith. And it is through faith by grace alone, not through works that salvation comes. We believe Jesus Christ will gather those who believe in Him and bring them to Him, that he will personally return, that the wicked will inherit eternal damnation and a literal hell and that the righteous will receive everlasting life with the living God. We believe that there is but one head of the Church, the Lord Jesus Christ, and that the responsibility of the Church and its institutions is to maintain His Lordship over their activities and not to submit that right to any individual, corporate body, governmental agency or head of state, as long as we conduct ourselves as ambassadors of Christ and live as lawful citizens. We believe that every area of life is to be subject to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We adhere to a world and life view which seeks to make the Lord Jesus Christ preeminent in all things. We believe that man has a direct voice with God through Prayer and that both individual and corporate prayer can accomplish much when in agreement with God's will.
